I’m Blake J. Perry, the owner dentist with over 20 years of experience. I’m known for Implant and cosmetic dentistry. What makes me different is the in-depth relationships I have with my clients. This is my key to your success. When it comes to cosmetic and aesthetic dentistry, giving you exactly what you want is paramount. Also, I have advanced technology and experience in all phases of implant dentistry. I don’t refer you to multiple offices.

After graduating from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry in 2002, I served as an F-16C Pilot in the United States Air Force. I’ve been lucky to have served alongside some of the smartest people in the world. This world-class leadership experience has been vital is forming the group of professionals that we have today.

I’ve also been involved in The Kois Center for dental excellence here in Seattle, WA, International groups of implant dentists, CEREC Doctors Education in Scottsdale, AZ., All of these efforts have a way of making all types of dentistry easy to explain. These world-class dentists have been fundamental to my success.

For the past eight years, I’ve been giving back to my local community through free dentistry to domestic violence survivors with AACD (American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry), Nurses during the pandemic, and in a remote area of Nicaragua with Circle of Empowerment.

I currently live in Mount Vernon, WA. My wife Shannon and three kids, Oscar, Frannie, and Luke, all enjoy the challenge of Surfing and Skiing. We also love the walking meditation of hiking and time together with campfires and beautiful trails for mountain biking here in the Pacific Northwest.

– Blake J. Perry, DDS

Ever since I was a kid, I’ve always been fascinated by the intersections of art and science; I think that’s why I found my passion and creative flow in dentistry. It’s a crossroads of architecture and biology, of medicine and mechanical engineering, of nature and design. My interest in interdisciplinary studies was fostered from a young age, as my father was an IBM technician and my mother was a nurse. They inspired me to approach the world with a sense of curiosity and a natural affinity for science and engineering. I worked hard in school, but my academic interests never stopped me from pursuing other activities like wrestling, football, and track and field. I continued to compete in athletics as I went on to study at the University of Iowa’s school of dentistry. During my time in dental school, I became a private pilot and flew a piper warrior all around Iowa. Flying is a great adventure! After dental school I decided to continue my aviation journey and was selected to join the Wisconsin Air National Guard. I entered US Air Force pilot training, where I flew the T-37 “Tweet,” T- 38 “Talon,” and the F-16 “Fighting Falcon.” I served briefly as a national guard pilot, then a NORAD scramble intercept pilot. I gained appreciation for the sacrifice and discipline of our volunteer service members. Like most fighter pilots, I couldn’t stay in that role forever and eventually I came to a point in my career where I needed to transition to either a non-flying role, an airline pilot, or a civilian job. I received my Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Greenville University in 1998. From there, I completed my Doctorate from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry in 2002. My continuing education has been broadly focused and centered around excellence. It started in Abbotsford Canada, at the Norm Ickert Teaching Centre. Upon completing the implant training in Canada, I was awarded my dental license from the board of dentistry in British Columbia. After that I pursued more education from the Kois Center, in Seattle. The Kois Center has a mission of advancing dentistry through science. I gained a fearless pursuit of knowledge there. I’m a Kois graduate, and I enjoy attending the international symposium in Seattle. Having never left my desire and interest in dentistry, I committed myself to dentistry again full-time and settled down in the Skagit Valley in 2008. I’m also a CEREC doctor and I’ve served as a mentor to others in Scottsdale learning the same technique of same-day CAD CAM design and laboratory fabrication of premium crowns and veneers. The materials like Emax, zirconia, as well as software advances, has kept me challenged for the last 10 years. Recently, I’ve enjoyed being a member of the elite doctors led by Brian Harris in Phoenix, Arizona. This group has an interest in cosmetic dentistry and Brian has taught me the Smile Test Drive design and techniques in photography, something I’ll always be grateful for. I continue to learn and grow alongside my incredibly supportive team, especially those who’ve been with me for the longest like Carlos and Gracie. Raising children has put my aviation activities on hold and I’ve been obsessed with dentistry during the season of my professional life. I love to get outdoors with my wife Shannon, daughter Frannie, and two sons, Oscar and Luke. We also enjoy mountain biking, wake surfing, and sailing out among the beautiful San Juan Islands. Shannon and I learned surfing together in a small coastal town outside El Viejo, Nicaragua. We’ve fallen in love with the people there and we enjoy spending time with them several times a year.
